Hey guys welcome to the first post on Cade and Ann's Fish Forum!

Do you guys like fish and fish related activities? Well, you're in luck! This forum is the perfect place for you!

I'm gonna start the first post off by talking about one of the most common fish to find in freshwater, the bluegill!

What's Up Fishing Lovers!? Bluegill-fly-fishing-mn1

The bluegill is a species of freshwater fish sometimes referred to as "bream" or "brim", "sunny", "copper nose", or incorrectly "perch".

It is a member of the sunfish family Centrarchidae of the order Perciformes. It is native to North America and lives in streams, rivers, lakes, and ponds.

A common mistake when catching bluegill is the approach after the fish is caught. Many people get antsy and attempt to grab the bluegill without pushing back the dorsal fin at the top, which has little sharp bits on it designed to ward off predators. If done correctly, the bluegill will be easy to hold and take a picture with and will be a great addition to your social media where you post all of your caught fish.

Anyways, that's all for this time, post some of your favorite bluegill photos below if you'd like, and CATCH you next time! (see what I did there?)
